Two bear sightings. Tuesday evening at 9pm just before the stone bridge, we saw a mother and two cubs. Thursday morning, we saw a large bear crossing the road to New York camps going up toward Wish-Come-True.
Wondering if there is a local source for an air horn?
Thanks,
Sara
Sara, On Thursday, July 27th at 11:50 a.m. a medium-sized bear slowly crossed the Mt. Road just east of the Leones’ house & just west of the stop sign at Riga Lane about 20′ ahead of my car as I drove back up the Mountain. As the bear clambered up toward the bank on the uphill side of the road (toward Lion’s Head Rd) I pulled even with it and rolled down my passenger side window to take a photo. Perhaps the noise of the window motor attracted the bear’s attention. It turned its head so I got a full face view. This bear had tags in both ears.
