It is with great sadness I report that Bill Moore died the morning of Dec 16 at his home in Arlington VA. Some of you may have seen the tender and loving post from Chris Moore on the Riga list serve. To me, Bill is the man who put the ‘joy” in “joie de vivre”; whose deep curiosity and indefatigable research skills resulted in the 2021 Edition of Mount Riga Family Lineages; whose love for our community led him to launch the original “Riga Rag”, and, later, to create the 1st list serve to share community news, and to avidly support the Mt. Riga Tennis Club. A remembrance will be held on Mt. Riga Aug 12. As Chris so eloquently expressed it, “our community will be a bit grey next summer” with Bill’s passing. Our deepest sympathies to Sheila and the entire Moore family.
