A huge Thank You to everyone who showed up on Saturday for our Mount Riga Community Day! I’m not sure of the exact number (somewhere between 40-60) but I do know that people of all ages and from all corners of our community participated in the day’s projects.
The Mountain looks amazing! The Dam has been weeded, the Cemetery trimmed, mowed and polished, the path to Bald Peak cleared, the Kettle restored to its original beauty and the Tennis Courts now have level, extended stands and a spiffy new shed (its on its way to being completed 🙂
A special thanks to Liz Kolias, Charlie Collin, Michael Kluchman and Ethan Gee for taking the lead on these projects. I know that many others gave up a huge chunk of their day, and speaking for the Maintenance and Security Committee as well as our community as a whole, THANK YOU!
An extra shout out to Ethan Gee for organizing, preparing and cooking the much appreciated hot dog feast.
Saturday was another reminder of what makes our Mountain Community so special. I felt Alice smiling the whole day :).
Thank you all so much, and I look forward to seeing everyone over the rest of the summer.
Cheers,
Andrea
