After 32 years of faithful, and much appreciated service to MRI, Steve Phillips has informed the MRI Board that he will not seek re-election as Vice President at the end of his current term on October 3, 2021. Therefore, MRI is beginning the search for an Assistant Vice President. The Vice President job description can be found here.
Only candidates with current and/or prior MRI Director or Officer experience will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with the requisite experience who are existing shareholders or who can become a shareholder within 30 days of being elected VP.
Candidates must be available for a transition period May-2021-October 2021; be willing to assume the VP position October 2021, and to make a minimum 3 year commitment to this important job.
The Vice President/Ass’t VP is an Officer of MRI, elected annually by the Board of Directors at the organizational meeting following the AGM, and a vital position in the governance of MRI. The Ass’t VP position is not paid. The Vice President is paid $2,000/year. The VP time commitment averages 4-6 hours per week. (Note: The time commitment in the event the VP has to take over from the President is considerably more.). Most work can be done remotely. The job description can be found below.
