The Mount Riga Directors held a preferential vote for MRI Vice-President, concluded on Tuesday June 27, 2023. Barbara Heinemann received 6 out of 10 votes. Congratulations, Barbara! The Board will soon vote on a motion to elect Barbara as Assistant Vice President (effective immediately so she can begin a transition process working with Anne, David W, Ana Mia and the other officers). Barbara will then be nominated for election to a one-year term as Vice-President at the Board’s Organization Meeting which directly follows the 2023 AGM in October. A big thank you to The Search Committee: Clay Beer (Chair), David Cory, Ethan Gee,Steve Griggs, Hilary Blaker Johnson, David Warner and Michael Whittier for conducting the President and Vice-President searches so thoughtfully, and thanks to the all the qualified and willing candidates who put their names forward.
Between now and Oct we will all be working hard to ensure as smooth a transition as possible.
